Hallstahammar municipality manages about 62 properties totaling 160,000 square meters, creating a dynamic and developing work environment. The municipality is facing many exciting changes and has several large projects underway that will affect the entire municipality. Among other things, extensive energy and renovation projects are ongoing, as well as new constructions of a new school, sports hall, and a nursing home. You will belong to a multifaceted and committed group of a total of 29 people, including technical managers, property caretakers, carpenters, plumbers, operations technicians, security technicians, and IT technicians, as well as two supervisors. The unit is responsible for everything from internal and external maintenance of the municipality's properties, including locks, alarms, access, and IT infrastructure to property planning with maintenance plans, etc. A rolling schedule for on-call duty during evenings/weekends may occur.

As an operations technician at Hallstahammar municipality, you will play an important role in ensuring that our properties meet the regulatory requirements in the best way. The work as an operations technician varies greatly, and no two days are alike. Your role in the organization is very important as we largely base our budget on the reports of issues you carry out. You will work with everything that properties entail and also some outdoor maintenance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
At Hallstahammar municipality's property department, we work with preschools, schools, healthcare buildings, and other municipally owned properties.
The tasks include:
- Energy monitoring, operational optimization, reporting, and work with control and regulation technology
- Coordinate, order, and follow up on work performed by contractors
- Monitoring of regulatory requirements such as OVK
- Handle and follow up on reports of issues from our tenants regarding indoor climate.
- Maintenance of heating centers, heating systems
- Maintenance of ventilation systems
- Maintenance of control and regulation equipment
- Rounds in operational areas
- Rounds of technical equipment
- Further development of technical equipment
QUALIFICATIONS
1-3 years of documented professional experience as an operations technician in the property industry or other equivalent professional experience deemed equivalent.
Alternative upper secondary education in electricity or operations, or a vocational education in property management/property technician.
Documented experience of work in control and regulation.
Good familiarity with IT environments and database-based property systems, e.g., MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Desigo CC, Vitec).
A driver's license with a manual transmission is required.
Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
Meritorious:
